Busy employees, many computer screens and multiple coffee runs. But what actually goes on in a newsroom? Let’s find out.

We paid a visit to the headquarters of “Kurier” – one of the most popular newspapers in Austria. The first thing that hit us was the heat of all the computers and the “hunger” of the journalists constantly working and trying to improve their pieces.
The warmth of the newsroom provided an inviting atmosphere to us all as we gathered eagerly to get a glimpse into the daily routine of a journalist. The focus of the workers was motivating as we saw how intensely they worked, constantly hardworking, dedicated and willing to improve their pieces. We were shown statistics of how many people were reading certain articles at different times and even how far down the page of the article most people scrolled.
